The Art Association’s Art Fairs are quintessential Jackson Hole summer events. These outdoor fairs feature local and national artists selling fine art and craft including ceramics, paintings, furniture, photography, and much more. Live music, food vendors, youth activities, and artists demos add to the extended weekend activities at Miller Park. All proceeds benefit our art education and outreach programs.
Every dollar we receive from admission goes to keeping our art education, outreach and exhibition programs accessible to the public all year. In 2018, our jury hand-picked 150 high-caliber artists and we saw over 6,000 in attendance at each fair. This small, boutique fair is supported by a strong group of staff and volunteers.
The Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival began as The Arts Festival in 1957 with a group of artists exhibiting their works in downtown store windows. As participation increased, the fledgling festival was held in Lytton Square. In 1962, the festival was incorporated, became an independent nonprofit organization and officially changed its name to The Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival and moved to its present site at historic Old Mill Park.
